Sierra Vista Labrador
Retriever Club History
The Sierra Vista Labrador Retriever Club ( SVLRC ) was founded on
March 5, 1989 and is located in Northern California in the general Sacramento
Valley area and foothills. Its members are active in field, obedience and
conformation show events and training for those events. Many of the members
also breed Labrador Retrievers in accordance with the goal of the club
to better the breed.
After several years of holding confirmation matches and fulfilling
the various requirements of the American Kennel Club, SVLRC was licensed
to hold Labrador Retriever Specialty shows. The first SVLRC Specialty show
was held on May 19th and 20th of 2000 at the Amador County Fairgrounds
in Plymouth, California. SVLRC now holds its annual specialty show Labor
Day weekend in conjunction with the Gold Country Kennel Club Show at the
Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley.
SVLRC supports the entry of Labrador Retrievers at the Gold Country
Kennel Club's show
held every Labor Day weekend in Grass Valley, California.
